Our handfasting cords look best with 3 different colours to create contrast and balance throughout the weave. However, using only 2 or 1 colour builds a bold look of colour intensity through the weave.
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display of any colour will be accurate.
If you have a particular charm in mind which is not shown in our selection, please email us and we will try and source it for you.
***Please add your choice of coloured ribbons and charms (if applicable) to the notes at checkout. We will send a mock-up of your selection to approve by email, so please look out for this and check your junk folder!
Please reply within 48 hours of the mockup being sent, to confirm whether you are happy with your selection or if you want to change your selection.
If confirmation is not received within this time, your order will be cancelled and refunded in full, and you will have to place the order again.***
How many cords do we need?
The ceremony can be done with as few or as many cords as you like, though they are most commonly done with 2 cords, with the idea that one cord represents you and the other represents your partner, and you are tying your lives together.
However, handfasting ceremonies can use 3 or even up to 6 cords - since multiple cords can be wrapped by close friends or family members, with each cord representing their love and support for you, it is a great way to involve them in your big day and works especially well for blended families.
Our cords come with an organza bag to keep them safe until they are ready to be used. Each of our cords are approximately 1.5cm in width and 1.5m in length which is a suitable size for the various handfasting methods. However, if you need a longer or shorter length, please email us.
Processing
Each cord is made to order. Processing time is 3-7 working days from purchase. Please also allow sufficient time for shipping.
Returns
Custom orders are excluded from our return policy so please contact us ASAP if you placed an incorrect order so we can resolve it before dispatching. Please see our return policy for full details.
